Returning to the United States, Mr. Gamble
formed the "Loni Gamble and Sound Cheque" band. This highly
professional unit of "seasoned" performers are known for rockin' the
Corporate, County Fair, and Municipal Festival circuits with their
special "Tribute to Motown" show and other rousing 70's - 80's dance
music medleys.
The band has opened for such top name artists as: "The Temptations," "The Tramps" and "Blessed Union of Souls." The group has performed at several locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of The United States. The band has played in such notable entertainment venues as The Taj Mahal, Trop World of Atlantic City, New Jersey. Loni Gamble and Sound Cheque also appears regularly at several vacation resorts such as Caesar's and Woodloch Pines in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Click here for previous tour list. Loni Gamble and Sound Cheque are famous for their renditions of Motown classics like: Smokey Robinson's and the Miracles'"Ooh Baby Baby"But the versatility of this group really shines through when Mr. Gamble woo's the crowd with an old favorite like Frank Sinatra's "Just the Way You Look Tonight". As guests of The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra in May, 1999 and the Bloomsburg University Orchestra in November, 2000, this outstanding group of performers has shown the depth of their expertise and talent.
